Studying
The main aim of this programme is to upskill construction employees to bridge the digital skills gaps within the Construction sector.
On completion of the course, you will be able to build simple 2D/3D models within an immersive virtual environment; and recognise and identify the needs of digital information and workflows within construction.
This course is FREE for those employed within the construction industry in the North East. It will be delivered using blended learning; including self-study, attendance at college and distance learning and online learning.
You will be expected to complete a minimum of 36 hours of attendance for the programme. The course will be delivered via a variety of learning methods including self-study, attendance at college and distance learning/online learning. 20% of the final grade will require your attendance in college to complete an assessment in class. The final 80% will be project related which could be completed in your workplace.

Teaching and Assessment
Forms of assessment will be via a presentation, practical use of modelling design tasks and a research/ report task to benefit the employer.
There will be a blended approach to teaching, learning and assessment. 50 hours commitment to the course will be required – 36 hours classroom/virtual face to face learning, alongside 14 hours End Assessment for your final project.
